What Do You Want From Your High School Essay?

What do you want from your high school essay? Many students dread writing essays as much as they hate taking exams. To help avoid some of the common pitfalls that students fall into, I will give you a brief guide on how to write a high school essay, and outline where you should start with your own personal high school essay.

 

Students are often categorized by their disability and special needs. These categories should be clearly stated in your essay, so that it doesn't seem like you're bending the rules to make a point. Of course, it's okay to have strong opinions or come from a non-standard viewpoint. But do try to keep them on topic and, at the same time, make sure that your opinion isn't the only opinion that you're putting forward.

 

The most important tips on writing a high school essay are really just to always be honest. It is fine if you think that X is the best, and it's okay to think that Y makes sense. What is not okay is to write something that is purposely misleading.
